Due canzoni

In attesa di recensire quanto prima il libro di Isoke Aikpitanyi "500 storie vere" che ho finito di leggere in questi giorni, e di cui ho già parlato qui, segnalo una canzone di Micheal Nyman e David McAlmont dal titolo "City of Turin". La canzone, il cui testo con traduzione si trova anche nel libro, fu ispirata ai musicisti da un'intervista di Isoke sulla tratta delle nigeriane in Italia, presso la tv inglese Al Jazeera nel 2009.

Voglio segnalare anche un'altra canzone che parla di un'esperienza molto dolorosa di tratta, raccontata anche nel libro "Schiave del potere" di Lydia Cacho. Si tratta di "Dragons" di Rhoda Kershaw, una donna americana che è stata vittima di tratta in Giappone dove era andata a lavorare come cantante nel 1989, e nelle maglie della Yakuza subì un atroce "rito di iniziazione", un rito che sigla l'amicizia tra questi uomini, stuprando per giorni in gruppo una ragazza. Lei è una delle poche uscite vive e che ha potuto testimoniare su questi spietati e potentissimi mafiosi.
